Uncomplicated - that is our take on children’s portraits. So many times, we have seen stressed out parents worry about their children looking into the camera or sitting still and “behaving.” Having a daughter of our own taught us that with children’s photography, it is often best to let them be first.
When we learned we were having a girl, it was a dream come true. We could not wait to dress her up and take pictures of her. When it came to actually taking the pictures, it became frustrating until one day we decided to just…. Let her be. This is when the magic began.
Children are curious. Let them be curious. I promise you, it’s the genuine moments of intrigue and curiosity that are the ones that become the most memorable when documented.
